For Spring Break this year we loaded up the little trailer with a bunch of
stuff and took the boys to San Elijo State Beach in Southern California.
We went with Grandma and Grandpa, and Beau and his family.
it started raining pretty good. We didn't care, we were at the BEACH!!!!
to the USS Midway Museum. It is a retired aircraft carrier that has been
made into a museum. We walked around that boat in amazement.
It is awesome to me to think of all the men that had served on that ship.
Island is where the Wheel House and Aircraft Controls are located.
We should have locked them up there a bit longer and enjoyed the tour.
When you enter the ship, you are given a set of headphones and a transmitter.
At each part of the ship you can listen to what went on there and
some cool stories of men that served there.
This was taken at the back end of our camp site. Just feet beyond the fence
is about a 20 foot cliff that drops right to the beach. Evenings were awesome
sitting at the fence watching the sun go down and listening to the waves
If I think for a second, I can still hear them.

I don't think it gets much better than this!!!!!!
